My counselling approach is integrative, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eclectic Therapy to meet the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each client. I have delivered over 400 hours of individual and group counselling, supporting adolescents, adults, couples, families, professionals, and persons living with disabilities (PLWD).
My experience also includes facilitating psychoeducation and mental health awareness sessions, providing mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and mediating family conflicts to strengthen communication and promote healthier relationships. At the heart of my practice is the belief that every individual possesses the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience when provided with a safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment. I strive to create spaces where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences, develop insight, and build on their existing strengths.
My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, evidence-based practice, and deep respect for each person's dignity, values, culture, and lived experience. I am passionate about making quality mental healthcare more accessible, reducing stigma, and supporting individuals, families, workplaces, and communities in achieving lasting emotional wellbeing. Whether through counselling, psychosocial support, workplace wellbeing programmes, mediation, psychoeducation, training, or community engagement, I am committed to fostering hope, strengthening resilience, and promoting positive mental health across diverse populations.
My background in international humanitarian and development organizations has further strengthened my ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural environments. Working alongside colleagues and stakeholders from diverse cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds has enhanced my cultural humility, adaptability, and ability to provide inclusive, culturally responsive care that respects each person's identity and lived experience.
