I use the “Therapy That Works” framework—a comprehensive model that unifies various therapeutic modalities. Among the most rewarding aspects of my practice is the incorporation of mindfulness, a discipline I greatly admire. As Jon Kabat-Zinn describes, mindfulness is “the awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally.” This principle informs both my professional work and personal life. Art, play, somatic, as well as talk, therapy are incorporated in my practice, supported by Bowenian, Narrative, Solution focused and Emotionally focused theories.

I am a licensed therapist with experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal challenges.
My approach is holistic and creative, blending modalities like CBT and trauma-informed care with art therapy and play therapy to meet clients where they are. I use art as a tool for nonverbal expression and insight-building, while play therapy helps younger clients (or adults, if applicable) process emotions in a safe, engaging way.
By integrating mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and creative techniques like sand tray or guided imaginative play, I empower clients to explore their inner worlds, reframe narratives, and build resilience.
My practice is rooted in collaboration, ensuring sessions are tailored to individual strengths and needs, fostering self-compassion and lasting growth.

Wanjiku Muchira
I am a counsellor who uses wholistic and integrated approach in therapy. I organise wellness events that incorporate complementary therapies like yoga, meditation, group sessions, art and aromatherapy.
I am passionate about working with young people; adolescents and young adults in helping them grow as individuals and professionals. I spend time in nature; hiking, wellness events or traveling. I work with corporates/groups in training the staff or members on mental health topics or facilitating wellness themed events.
